Hermes Event FYI's

Here are some FYI’s for this Saturday’s Hermes Awards Ceremony.  Please feel free to forward to all attending with you, especially if they will be arriving separately.  (We are sending this to the e-mail listed on the reservation form, so please do forward it around, especially given the directions if you’re not all arriving together.)

LOCATION  The Schuster Center in downtown Dayton, at the corner of 2nd & Main.  Street parking is free on weekends and there is also paid parking in the Arts Garage.

DRESS - We get this question every year.  Attendees dress in everything from formal wear to jeans.  Best advice is wear what you would to a wedding.

  • 6:00-7:30 pm – Display Reception, hors d’ouevres and cash bar.  The display will be along the hallway.
  • 7:30-8:45 pm –The dinner and Awards Ceremony will be in the Wintergarden.
  • 8:45 – Silver Medal presentation followed by Awards Ceremony

  • The seating assignment chart is available online if you’d like to see your table # ahead of time.  It is listed alphabetically by company name, or if you are not with a company, by your last name.  Check it out here.  No changes may be made.
  • For those doing the dinner option, at your table will be an envelope with your company name (or last name if not with a company).  In it will be the meal tickets for you and your attendees.  Please have them out so the server can give you the correct entrée.  If your company has multiple tables, the envelope will be at the first table listed on the seating chart.  Please distribute the tickets to those at your other tables.
  • If you are not doing the dinner option, seats available when you return for the Awards Ceremony.  You are listed on the seating chart as Non-dinner Seating.

We are encouraging everyone to tweet throughout the evening and will be sharing them during the show.  Use #HermesShow

If you have any questions, you can e-mail me until mid-afternoon on Saturday.  Feel free to call my cell at 937-248-4697.  Or, I’ll be by the seating chart sign until dinner is served.  For dinner, you can find me at table # 35 until the show starts.

Please don’t forget to pick up your certificates following the show. If you won a Silver and wish to forward it to the next level, there is a tight turnaround and there is information in your certificate packet.

SURVEY – Following the Hermes, we will be sending out an event survey, again to you, who made the reservation.  When you receive it, please forward to all of your attendees so they may participate.

Looking forward to seeing you Saturday!
